Our Mission

Our Fall Season is complete! We spent six weeks building FITNESS with virtual and on-campus workouts, TEAMWORK through weekly team competitions, and SELF-ESTEEM by using our sport to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth. We ALL participated in the VIRTUAL CHAD HERO during our last week of the season – October 19 – 23 and raised over $14,472!

OUR MISSION – Finding Our Stride is a school-based running program in middle and elementary schools in the Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire. Our mission is to build fitness, self-esteem and teamwork through running. We partner with schools where 30% of their students are eligible for free or reduced lunch. We work with school leaders to design a program that works best for each school at no cost to the schools, runners or parents.

Discover our impact in 2019! Read our Annual Report.

Our Work

Finding Our Stride offers guided work-outs 2 – 3 times per week, led by volunteers and coaches receiving modest stipends. Students are provided healthy snacks, transportation, running shoes (if needed), team t-shirts, and registration fees for an end of the season running event.

2019 Finding Our Stride team at the CHaD Hero! 465 runners who raised $45,091.17 for sick and injured children at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth!
